A small Q&A session with 500 Club member Tiina T.
Her workout: Timpuri.
1. Is CrossFit a cult?
People are voluntarily wallowing in each others body fluids and obviously liking it in some sick way, so must be some sort of cult.
2. Favorite movement?
Snatch, because it’s so hard but when in a good day you get the bar moving right where it should, even the heavy weight feels easy and that is an awesome feeling. And all the fun movements I probably would never have tried without crossfit, e.g. Handstand stuff, muscle ups and other gymnastics stuff.
3. Least favorite movement?
This might come as a surprise, but thruster.
4. Hardest workout you have done?
First that comes to mind is a final event (Laji #5) in Karjalan Kovin competition in 2012 was at least one of the hardest I remember.
5. What do you like about CFCH?
As Sonja also said, It’s like my second home 🙂 People are awesome and fun personalities and the coaching is very professional and high level. I’ve also seen other styles and levels of coaching, but what we have in CFCH is really top quality.
6. Was it love at first taste with CrossFit/CFCH?
With CrossFit yes, the first workout I ever did was the “Fight gone bad” and that got me hooked. But with CFCH, to be honest, it was little hard to get used to the very strict style of coaching at first (it was like a night and day with the place I started CrossFit at), but it was ok after I got used to it 😀 Also fortunately the quantity of sarcasm has helped a lot 😀
