A small Q&A session with 500 Club member Tomi H.

1. Is CrossFit a cult?

Yes it is, and no it is not! When you start, you think: Yeah this cult thing is not so bad,  and I feel awesome every time I see other cult members. When you start telling about CrossFit to somebody like your parents and everybody who cares to listen, you start lying that: No it is not a Cult! Who told you that?

2. Favorite movement?

Double Unders baby!!! C’mon!!!

3. Least favorite movement?

Running and Dumbbell Cleans.

4. Hardest workout you have done?

First ever Fran done Rx’d.

5. What do you like about CFCH?

At CFCH you can be yourself and be awesome! You don’t have to think that you are any worse than anyone at the gym, You will get better in time, and with patience! The coaching is professional and you will know what you need to work on everytime when life starts to suck! You compete against yourself, but you are never alone. Atmosphere is positive and it is fun to come to the CFCH box every time! Also the Dumbbells and Kettlebells are (generally) always in order at CFCH!

6. If you could be trapped on a desert island with only one cult member, who would it be and why?

Esa, as we travel great together.

7. Was it love at first taste with CrossFit/CFCH?  

Yes it was. It was a stairway to heaven, when I walked up the stairs for the first time (it took me about 10 minutes to get up then)! I remember the first workout. Walking lunges, Jumping Pull-ups and Push Ups. 3 rounds for time. I did knee Push-ups then and could not get the last rep done when the time ran out! It was awesome! First taste was nice, when Ben chose me as a demo boy for Handstands! I’ve never done even a headstand before this. Got myself up to the wall with Bens assistance and he started to explain thing while holding my feet. Microsecond later I fell down to the concrete nose first! Boom. I felt special and the taste of CFCH concrete sealed the deal! I was hooked!!! C’mon!

8. Any other thoughts?

I will carry all the grocery bags at once, or die trying before making two trips. Dream big! Someday you might finish a 20 AMRAP in 5 minutes! C’mon!!!!!
