I attended a WOD as a visitor to Helsinki. The coach Janne was really helpful with information over email and got me into the class when I arrived. The actual box itself is really big, well equipped and I liked that I saw lots of people of all ages, shapes and sizes, attending! As a beginner I didn’t feel out of place. The workout was good, I had been ill so the exercises were scaled down. I would definitely recommend this box and hope to come back to Helsinki again one day!

Yes. We have a variety of coaches and classes, so you'll get the coaching either in Finnish or English. You'll also learn the terminology quickly. If you don’t speak Finnish, you will get fully coached in English! Welcome!

When you start at CrossFit Central Helsinki as a beginner, your fitness level will improve quickly. Strength and conditioning typically both improved within a month. However the key to seeing results long term and maintaining them is consistency. We will help guide you to determine what amount and type of training is best for you to be consistent.

Yes! We provide guidance on eating right or sleeping well which can help maximize energy levels – getting YOU maximum results from your efforts.

Perhaps the most common question! Many current members waited years to start because of nerves around this reason. We are here to meet you where you are at now. Beginner to CrossFit? No problem. Beginner to gyms in general? No problem. Been 1/3/5/10/20 years since you were ‘in shape’? No problem. We guide you based on your current level. Our workouts are “universally scaled”, with a different version of each day's workout designed for every level. This way you get the right training for you in every class without needing to think.

Valmentajamme auttavat sinua löytämään tämänhetkiseen elämäntilanteeseesi sopivan treenikertojen määrän. Lähtökohtaisesti aloittelelijoiden on hyvä treenata n. 3 kertaa viikossa. Kun aloitat uudenlaisen harjoittelun, on aivan normaalia, että lihaksesi kipeytyvät. Valmentajien avulla löydät sopivan intensiteetin, joka mahdollistaa treenien säännöllisyyden ja sitä kautta kestävät tulokset.

Päivän treenit kehittävät sekä voima- että kestävyysominaisuuksia ja liikkuvuutta. Treenit on suunniteltu olemaan samalla turvallisia, että myös kehittäviä ja sopivia kaikentasoisille. Treeneissä vaihtelevat painopisteet ja intensiteetti. Toisina päivinä prioriteettina voi olla enemmän ylävartalo, toisina alavartalo, usein kuitenkin treenataan koko kehoa samalla kerralla. Samoin intensiteetti vaihtelee raskaammista treeneistä kevyempiin. Tämä takaa sen, että pystyt säännöllisesti treenaamaan, palaudut treeneistä hyvin ja saat tuloksia aikaan.

Each 60min class is fully coached by one of our qualified team. The day starts with a explanation of the workout and purpose behind it. We start moving together with a warm-up designed to wake the mind and body up for the upcoming workout. Classes range between having 1-3 main sections on a typical day. Each section is fully explained and techniques revisited and practiced. After technique practice, the meat of the workout begins. Throughout this section the coach is active in correcting and improving the quality of your workout. The coach also ensures you are meeting the desired intent for the workout. We understand you aren’t a robot, so we make sure to meet you where you are for the day to get the best outcome and best feeling! Class finishes with a summary, some smiles, a warm feeling and a ‘see you again tomorrow!

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
